And we have teeth!!

Raelynn's first tooth cut through two days ago! Well at least that's when I first noticed it. She has been the happiest teething baby EVER. She's still only cranky when she's tired... which is a majority of the time, lately. Poor girl. These teeth are wearing her out! You can see both teeth on the bottom, but the one on her left is the one you can feel has cut through. My big girl!! I am so proud of her!

Big mover

WOW! It has been far too long since I have written. Raelynn is almost 7 months old! I can't believe it. She is crawling EVERYWHERE, pulling herself up on EVERYTHING, and wow-ing EVERYONE! She has no fears! Talks to everyone, mimics coughs, snaps her tongue, and smacks things after seeing someone else hit it. She's so SMART! I am amazed every day. We went to the park today and she swung on the swings! SHE LOVED IT!

5 months

I can't believe it's been five months already! She is getting so big! I know I say that a lot, but she's growing way too fast for my liking. She is doing the army crawl all over the place!! Definitely have to keep everything off the floor when she's playing. Took some 5 month old photos today, she's such a ham! I got a model on my hands!

Raelynn has been so active!! She wont stay still! Finally got all settled into the new apartment, and her grandpa and great grandma visited and helped us out! Grandpa and Uncle Rory set up her new crib and changing table, so she has her own room AND furniture now! Slept in her crib for the first time the other night, and she did GREAT! I think she likes it. My dad gave me the pictures we got done with his friend Amy Richmond, and I am soo excited to get prints and hang them up around the new house!

Chit Chat

Raelynn is now a talking MACHINE!! She jibber jabbers all the time now. She is starting to get the hang of sitting up by herself, and is getting used to eating rice cereal from a spoon! She ste probably a whole tablespoon of it today! Getting so big! At her 4 month appointment, she weighed in at 13 lbs 6.5 ounces(48%), 26.5 inches long(98%), and her head is in the 50%. Those darn shots got her really sleepy all day that day. When she cries and gets really upset, she says "mamama", it's the cutest thing. She has been scootin' with all her leg kicking, and she is starting to put her knees under her like she's going to crawl soon! Where has my little helpless, immobile, sleeps all day baby gone? She has been hanging out where I work a lot, and is completely LOVED here(for those who don't know, I moved back to IL), there are even some people that come in looking for her! My cousins Garrett and Gavin absolutely love her, my aunt Kie wont put her down, and some of my coworkers just adore her. She got to see her aunt Ryan, aunt Jenn, and cousin Logan my birthday weekend! She loved that visit. Still one smiley little cutie!!

4 months

Raelynn is growing TOO FAST!! Rolling around, starting to sit up, teething, and eating a LOT! She's got a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so I'll try to update after I get off work. Let's hope we get the okay to start her on rice cereal! She needs something that fills that tummy up better! Here are some recent pictures of our angel.

Hectic

It has been so hectic lately! For those who don't know, Raelynn and I moved back to Illinois, and MAN have we been busy! So, I apologize for the lack of updates lately. Well, Raelynn is definitely ready for some teeth. The other day, she was crying for 3 hours... talk about stressful!! I thought I tried everything! A nice warm bottle... nope. A pacifier.. nope. Clean diaper? Nope. Bath. Not helping. Took her outside, played Barney, everything that usually works! Still crying. I ended up taking her up to the ice cream shop I work at, and my friend Jennifer saw us pull up. After I told her what was going on, her first reaction was, "Is she teething?". I couldn't believe it. I did NOT think of that!! Jennifer took her off my hands and gave her some orajel... worked WONDERS. One minute later she's the smiling little girl that everyone enjoys seeing in the ice cream shop. PHEW! I can actually feel some teeth in there.. but my aunt says it'll probably take another month for them to break through... yikes!

Sunday morning

I swear Rae keeps waking up earlier and earlier... I'm a tired momma! She is getting soo smart!! She took her bottle from me the other day, held it, and tried to suck on it(she couldn't figure out how to tip it... so she sucked on the side of it). She is a little roller! Even when I'm just changing her diaper, she rolls! And she still LOVES being outside!! Took her for a walk yesterday and she loved it! If she's ever fussy, I just gotta step outside with her and she calms down. Her hair is growing back in GREAT! The top is looking full(no more receding hair line!) and the back is getting it's peach fuzz back! She's so cute!! I put Rae down for a nap the other day, and heard a disturbing noise through the monitor... She was scratching the side of her pack-n-play! Creepy!!

 

Brush

Raelynn is getting sooo big!! I know I say that a lot... but it's true!! I'm convinced teething has started, so we're practicing good health by brushing Rae's teeth(well, gums) every night before her bath. She's so cute! She gobbled down 8 ounces last night!! Sucked her bottle dry! She's got a doctors appointment early June, so if she keeps eating 8 ounces a time, I'm sure we'll start her on cereal!!And she is a rolling machine!! She rolls on her tummy while I'm trying to change her diaper- she's definitely mastered rolling! We'll be setting up her room soon!! All we're missing is a crib mattress!!

Precious

Not too much has been going on here, although I believe Rae will be teething soon... YIKES!! She has been chewing on her fists & drooling a lot, her sleep & eating schedule is out of wack, and she's been really cranky. Joyyyy. I'll be sure to post ASAP when her teeth start cutting in!

Lost a friend of mine today back in IL. You definitely can't take life for granted, he was only 20 years old. Unfortunately it takes something like this for people to realize how blessed they are... Rest in Peace, Chris. You will be greatly missed.

Mobile

Raelynn is officially mobile! On 5/3 she rolled from her tummy to her back, and only a few days after that she could roll from her back to her tummy! NOW, she does it ALL! FREQUENTLY!

She is lovin' rolling! And she loves standing up, in case I haven't mentioned that. Her grandma Kim and grandpa Greg got her a new toy! And once again, she LOVES it!! It's a play center thing. Took me 2 hours to put the dang thing together.

Sorry it's taken me so long to update... entertaining a baby, 4 dogs, feedings/diaper changes, dishes & laundry, all while staying sane is tougher than I thought.
